Currently obsessed with monogramming everything “Kim & Dan”.
When my mom first came to America twenty something years ago, she worked as a seamstress. From her job, she had mastered sewing to the point where she was able to make me clothes for cheaper than the store. She made everything from patterned shorts, dresses and even bathing suits for family beach trips.
As a child, my signature bathing suit was a solid purple one piece, which you could guess, my mom made for me. I wore the suit nearly every weekend to the beach. As time passed, I outgrew my special bathing suit and moved on but haven’t forgotten.
Now that one piece bathing suits have made a come back, I eagerly hopped on the bandwagon and fell in love with this cute bathing suit from Aerie. Wearing a purple one piece bathing suit again brought back so many happy memories and nostalgia, so I wanted to share my beach look with you all.
This was probably the most fun I’ve ever had with a photo shoot, because I felt so confident in my new bathing suit! Although I have to warn you, this style was super cheeky meaning you’ll get a wedgie every five seconds. With that being said, I wouldn’t recommend this suit for young girls or for any strenuous beach/sport activities.
