During the summer months, we love to explore new places, which is why Dan and I decided to visit a small coastal park on a warm Sunday evening for our first time. Even though, we have been living on the coast of Connecticut for over a year, we still seek to make new outdoor discoveries around our town. If only we were still catching Pokemon like last summer! Anyone still hung up on Pokemon Go?
We got to the park right before sunset, so my photos turned out a way darker than usual. Rather than trashing these photos, I decided to experiment by editing them differently.
To be honest, I love the way these edits turned out. Obviously, they aren’t true to color, but it does represent how warm and joyful we felt exploring this new park during the heat of the summer. (Did I mention that I love hot weather? Pretty sure, I’m the only one who likes heat bordering uncomfortable.) Hopefully these colors aren’t too nauseating for you! I don’t really intend on editing my photos this way again unless I get some positive feedback.
Please note that we took a few photos with our DSLR, but mostly vlogged our experience with my smaller camera. You can find the video (coming soon) on our Youtube channel. In the vlog, you’ll see that we snapped a few polaroids with the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 and collected a ton of seashells, our usual bit!
What latest outdoor discoveries have you made?
