On the sunniest day this month, we woke out of hibernation to visit Mystic, our favorite coastal town in Connecticut. Earlier in the day, we toured a historic mansion venue as part of our wedding planning. Afterwards, we sought out a place to eat. Even though it’s technically off-season, our go-to restaurant Red36 was jam-packed. Waiting on a small table for two would have taken 45 minutes, but luckily, we snagged a vacant corner at the bar. It was a prime spot for people watching! As always, Dan ordered the sesame salmon burger (the man loves salmon!) and I had the endive salad (super yummy!!)

Lately, I’ve been trying to update my wardrobe to include some all-american classics, hence my blue gingham shirt! Here’s the guy’s version for anyone eager to match. My outfit could have used some accessories, like this Kate Spade watch that I own, but my darn watch ran out of batteries within the first 3 months, which is pretty frustrating! Luckily, my Kate Spade bag (the cedar street small hayden) came to the rescue, as it held my phone and all the other random things I like to carry. No longer will I have to rely on Dan’s pockets! Although he’s the sweetest fiancé and doesn’t mind holding everything!

How do you like to celebrate the first sunny day of the season?

You need to let me raid your wardrobe because I love your outfit, Kim! I wish it was still cold enough in California to still wear boots. Also, I love coastal cities and restaurants, the vibes are so great in it.

The food at Red36 looks delicious! You can never go wrong with a salmon burger XD. I am totally digging your Kate Spade bag :). Whenever I don’t have my bag, I would always have my boyfriend hold my phone and stuff as well. Going out is definitely a must-do on a sunny day!

Thanks Nancy! The same goes with me. Unfortunately, my clothes never come with pockets, so my purse (or boyfriend) is a must-have to hold my things!

Yes, I love the nautical themes that you see on the coast of Connecticut! Aha thanks, I get a little embarrassed at the size of my ring but in the end, I am a lucky girl 😀

I’ve never spent much time in CT, unless you count driving through it going to NYC haha. I might have to take a trip sometime. Love the top and your engagement ring 😉

That’s because there’s not much going on in Connecticut, haha. Thanks Hannah! 🙂

I love the color of the gingham shirt! You see a lot of black, navy blue, and red gingham in the stores. This color is bright but still very cool toned! xx
