Happy Halloween, boys and ghouls!

Can you believe that October is already coming to an end? We thought the obvious way to celebrate the fall season would be to go pumpkin picking together! This fun couples activity is a given for any New Englander and oddly enough, this was actually Dan and my first time picking pumpkins together—and we’ve been dating for over 6 years! It’s weird that we’ve never thought to do this together before.

Most farms will lend you a hand saw to cut your pumpkin off the vines. Can you imagine Dan going to town with a hand saw in the pumpkin fields? However, the local place we found had these pumpkins pre-cut and organized in rows, which is convenient but takes the fun out of cutting them yourself. We will have to do some research to get a more authentic experience next time!

Lately, I have been obsessed with wearing my trench coat. The one I have is from the kids section of Zara (petite girl problems) and sold out, but I have linked a few different trench coats below for you, because it’s so versatile and a must-have for your closet! Seeing as though it’s autumn, I brought out my knee-high boots. I know, this outfit is as basic as it gets. Then the comfiest turtleneck from the soft and sexy plush collection at American Eagle. They’re sold out as well, because I got this turtleneck last year, but there’s plenty of other similar tops if you want to match the outfit!

  2. October 31, 2017 / 11:13 am

I’ve never been to a pumpkin patch nor corn maze (I know, what a shame!), and it might be too late to go now since it’s the last day of October. Hahaha! I’ll see to it that we visit one (or two) next year!

    • November 7, 2017 / 8:14 am

Sometimes the pumpkin patch and corn maze will close after October because they expect that everyone is moving onto Thanksgiving and Christmas, but next year for sure!

    • November 7, 2017 / 8:15 am

Thanks Nina! Hope you had a great day too.

    • November 7, 2017 / 8:15 am

Thanks Lyndi. Hope you had a great Halloween!

I really love your outfit! It’s so cute! Anyway, this post reminds me of that one Harry Potter scene, haha. We do not really have pumpkin patches here, so I find it interesting.

    Have a great week!

Thanks Gretch! Pumpkin picking is definitely a magical experience! Hope you get a chance at it one day!

That trench coat is lovely, Zara has some really nice finds sometimes! Also, that farm is adorable and I can’t believe October is already ending as anything pumpkin related always makes me smile. I’m glad you enjoyed your day picking pumpkins! xx

Thank you, Diana! I’m actually obsessed with Zara! And it’s pretty crazy how quickly October blew by. So glad this post made you smile!

    • November 7, 2017 / 8:21 am

Aren’t they so fun and festive?!

    • November 7, 2017 / 8:21 am

      They are called Cinderella pumpkins!

  5. November 1, 2017 / 12:09 am

I can’t believe October is over! The month moved by way too quickly @__@. Glad to see you and Dan taking advantage and going to a pumpkin patch! You guys are lucky that you had chilly weather when you went. Hope you’ll have a chance to go cut your own pumpkin out next time. I love your trench coat! I would love to own a Burberry one but it’s hot 95% of the year in SoCal to make it worth the $$$ @__@.

Thanks Nancy! The weather has been so wonky on the east coast this year, so we were pretty lucky that it was chilly too. This past autumn has been oddly warm! Although, not as warm as where you live in California, haha.

  6. November 1, 2017 / 4:02 am

You look so darn adorable!! I’ve never been pumpkin picking but being able to saw it off by yourself does sound like a lot of fun!!

    • November 7, 2017 / 8:23 am

Aw thanks Hunida! I don’t think I have ever really sawed one off by myself so hopefully next year we can get the “authentic” experience!

  7. November 1, 2017 / 7:03 am

Okay, there are sooo many things I love in this post. This pumpkin patch is so cute!!! I can’t wait to take Nicolas to one someday, as they don’t really have them here in Denmark. Secondly, love your lipstick. Where is it from?! It is the perfect color for fall. Thirdly, the trench coat looks amazing on you. I’ve been wearing mine nonstop! And lastly, the soft and sexy plush collection from American Eagle is my FAVORITE!!! I wish they had more pieces. I got a sweater from that collection 2 years ago and haven’t found anything as soft as it since!

Madison, I’m so happy to see that you loved this post! You need to visit a pumpkin patch now because I want to hear your perspective on them! I hardly ever wear lip stick or any make up at all but I picked up those $1 Wet n Wild ones at the drugstore to experiment with my style hahah. I guess that goes to prove that you don’t need to break the bank to look good! I love wearing my trench coat everywhere! And that turtleneck is probably the softest thing I own and my go to for Fall hehe! Thanks so much for your comment!! Really made my day!

    • November 7, 2017 / 8:28 am

Thanks Quinn! I don’t wear lipstick often so it makes me happy to hear that people notice!

  8. November 1, 2017 / 8:51 am

Loved your photos! Those pumpkins in the first few photos look huge! And the white ones look so pretty, I’ve never seen those in real life can you believe it! haha

    • November 7, 2017 / 8:35 am

Thanks! These pumpkins were so big that I had no problem sitting on them hahah. The white ones are called Cinderella pumpkins! At least that’s what the sign said.

  9. November 1, 2017 / 9:43 am

Ahh this looks so nice! I’ve never been to a pumpkin patch haha I think that’s more of an American thing!

It must be because I never hear of people from other countries going! It’s huge in New England (the northeast corner of the United States)!

I have never been to pumpkin patch before but this looks so fun and awesome! I have to mention I love how you have braided your hair, it looks so adorable Kim 🙂

Omg yes! You’d have so much fun!

  12. November 1, 2017 / 12:15 pm

That pumpkin patch looks like such a cute place! I haven’t been to one in years, but I seriously need to add it to my list of things to do next fall. And I am in love with your outfit! That trench coat is perfect and I can’t believe you got it from the kids section! That is such a smart idea x

Pumpkin picking is such a staple activity for celebrating fall! And thanks—the trench coat sleeves are actually on the short side which I didn’t notice at first, but overall it’s a great fit!

    • November 7, 2017 / 8:40 am

Thanks Rach! Sometimes it helps to reach in the kids section since I am so petite!

  13. November 1, 2017 / 3:15 pm

Such a lovely idea to visit a pumpkin patch! I bet it was fun, even though you didn’t have to cut them yourselves. I’ve decorated our house with lots of pumpkin too.

This looks like so much fun!
We had a few days of cold weather here in Houston, but now it’s rainy and humid and just blah. I want a nice breezy, yet sunny day. I know, that’s asking a lot.
I love your cozy outfit. I need to insert a nice trench coat into my wardrobe.

This year was my first time pumpkin picking as well in a pre-arranged field, but as we were not very motivated to do the carving, we went for the cute gourds instead (perfect for insta pics ;))
I love your simple outfit and your braided hair Kim, so so lovely! Hope you guys had a great time and happy November!

Such a fun activity, haven’t tried picking pumpkins. Apparently, Halloween is not a big thing in Australia so there isn’t much activities involving it. Love your look, the trench is really cute on you!

A trench coat is the perfect look for pumpkining in a fashionable way! It would have been awesome to see Dan saw away on the vine (or you!). But grabbing a pumpkin is way easier. Plus, you’ve gotta do all the emptying and carving when you get home. So save your energy!

What’s autumn without pumpkin picking? 😀 There are people who go to pumpkin patches and cut off their own from the vine, and then there are people like me who get pumpkins from grocery stores haha // Cute outfit ^-^ -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s

SO CUTE! I love pumpkin patches. I actually love eating all the treats that are usually there even more than picking pumpkins haha. Ben got a pumpkin this year to make a workout video with, and we put it outside our house to decorate the porch. The next morning, we looked outside and our pumpkin had EXPLODED! Aka the Boulder squirrels ate EVERYTHING. It was crazy! No more pumpkins for us haha.

    Happy pumpkin picking!

I’ve never actually been to a pumpkin patch before and these photos make me feel like I am missing out big time – until next year in my case :’) Also, your outfit is the cutest and I too have been obsessed with trench coats lately as they make every outfit look suuuper sophisticated!!
