Our Winter Engagement Photos

This Saturday, we woke up to the first snowfall of the year! Woohooooo! Cue the Christmas music!

We decided to take a few snowy engagement photos of our own in the backyard before hiring a professional photographer. This way, we could practice being in front of the camera and tame our awkwardness before our real engagement photo shoot!

Here are a few of our practice shots.

We accidentally locked ourselves out of the apartment while taking these photos, haha whoops. Luckily our landlord lives next door, so finding a spare key wasn’t a problem. However, while he passed on the key, his dog jumped out in excitement and pooped all over our yard! The snow wasn’t so white after that.

I didn’t make it too far into our backyard since it was really slippery.

Wow, I didn’t realize my sweater and rain boots perfectly matched until I looked back on these photos! Sky blue is my favorite color and I don’t own many sweaters, so this match was bound to happen. What a happy accident!

We had planned to take photos with christmas lights wrapped around us but totally forgot! By Sunday, the snow had already melted (that’s fussy New England weather for you) so we’ll have to try again later or indoors.

Anyways, it was time to be adults and shovel our walkway!
