In an earlier post, we had shared our experience in the cutest village of Grafton, Vermont. If you missed it, here it is. As part of our trip, we visited the Kidder Hill Covered Bridge just 0.2 miles southeast of downtown Grafton and took so many pictures of this winter wonderland that we had to create this separate post.
As you can see, the covered bridge itself was a little underwhelming. We have definitely seen prettier covered bridges. However, the magic started once we drove across the bridge and through the forest! The scenery was absolutely breathtaking!
This was truly a winter wonderland! The best part — we didn’t have to share the forest with anyone else!
Luckily, we drove Dan’s Subaru which has all-wheel drive, so the snowy path was no problem for us.

Sometimes the best destinations are the quiet ones that don’t seem to drawn in big crowds. The forest after the Kidder Hill Covered Bridge was certainly off the beaten path and a beautiful sight that I will never forget!
Here are the directions to the Kidder Hill Covered Bridge from downtown Grafton. It’s only a minute away, so trust me, you won’t get lost!
